Money makes the world go round...

Or at the least it buys a lot of plants and a new washer and dryer!

WE love our new washer and dryer. The washer is so silent that it's hard to tell that it's even washing. its AWESOME!!!!!

The plants were just to make our living room look like a jungle and to make me happy. We have some tulips and dafodils growing out in the front of our little rental house and we got our front yard all cleaned up and pruned up last weekend so we're looking forward to spring this year.

I hear that some of my siblings will be moving a little closer to this region and that is great. It would be sweet if I found out a little more detail and if it came by way of a phone call once in a while, but whatevah!

Work is still work, but I still enjoy it most of the time and it does provide me with the green I need to make my world go round.

I made it...

I was given the promotion finally! I went to the General Manager Class and passed it and they promoted me to General Manager and gave me a 3.00 raise and put me on salary.

I think it may be a good thing eventually.

Daniel wrote to me to say that it was reee- diculous that I still had a Christmas story up on my blog so I decided I better hop to and get it changed.

The boys are healthy. I don't know about happy, but healthy. We have a few issues to work out.

There have been some crazy happenings at the hotel. There was so much ice and snow on the roof on the north side of my building that it caused a bunch of water damage and the roof was breaking in about 35 spots. The contractors had to come and climb up on the top of the 3 story building and chip off the ice and snow so the leaks would dry up. While they were there I had to leave town again to go to a class in Salt Lake City. I am now a certified Pool Operator too. So My name looks like:
Jana Casey GM, CPO

Fa La La...

It's Christmas time again and I am SOOOOOOOO excited that most of my family will be here. I wish we all could be together, but I totally understand when people can't get away from work. That happens to me a lot.

We really love our little house we're renting and I'm also loving that we aren't living with mom and dad this year so that others will have a place to stay and we have a place to get away if needed.

I am really hoping that work will be settled down by Christmas eve and Christmas day so that I won't have to go in to work.
Housekeeping is a mess again right now and I need to hire some people for a few other areas on the property too and that makes a lot of overtime for me. All in all I need to hire about 10 people and the pickins are slim right now as far as people who are right for the job. Keep your fingers crossed.

YAY...

We finally got our own place to live. A girl that used to work at the front desk told Camie and I about a house that her grandmother was renting. She had some other renters in here and they were getting ready to move out so we were the only people who knew about it. The previous renters pretty much trashed the place and left it like that, so her grandma didn't really charge us a deposit since we would clean it ourselves. Camie is my roommate. She went on vacation the week that we found out we got the place so it was pretty much the boys and I who cleaned. We got it for an awesome rent price too. (I finally feel like a "REAL" girl.)

It has been snowing here for several days and we had a big storm last weekendtoo so there is a ton of snow and the boys and I have had a fun time with building snowmen and having snowball fights and going sledding. I have a few pictures so I'll post them.

On the job note...

I still have one.

The owners have decided to send me to Anaheim, California to General Manager training for a week in January. I'm kind of looking forward to it, but mostly I'll just be glad when it's over. It'll be like going to college for a week and a lot of homework and I have to pass the class with a 92% or better so that's a little stressful.!!
I really like my job though and want to continue so I'll pass!

I'm really looking forward to seeing all my family members at Christmastime.
See you soon.

Dayz off

So finally some good news. My Boss has been back for a few days and he told me yesterday not to step foot on the property for 2 days!
And to that I replied,
"AWESOME!!!"

So the boys and I went to see a movie today with my friend Camie with whom I work and who also has the day off. And then the boys and I went to the library to get some reading material and it's been pretty relaxxxing.

I don't look forward to start the grueling day ahead on Monday, but somebody has got to pay the bills and if I don't work we'll never be able to get a place of our own someday.
